Composer Sergei Tolkachev. Sonata for Flute and Piano (2008-2009) - Russian composer Sergey Tolkachyov

This sonata was written specifically for the 7-th All-Russian Open Competition for Young Composers dedicated to Alfred Schnittke, held in the Saratov Conservatory. Jumping condition is the using of quotes from the proposed themes taken from Shnitke's music. I took the theme from the "Requiem" Schnittke - "Requiem aeternam", it begins with the first part of the sonata. In music, there is another quote - in the third part. There is the theme of Bulgarian purely litany, also sung in liturgical practice to the text "kyrie eleison". This text marked in the score not for singing.
